One of the 'Wow!' moments for me was when they did 'While I Cried', one of my all time favorite Nesmith penned Monkees songs. When I saw Nesmith in concert in the early 90's and got a chance to speak to him afterwards I suggested that he consider doing this song in concert, though to my knowledge I don't think he ever did. The other 'Wow!' moment was their performance of 'If I Ever Get To Saginaw Again'. Gary hinted what the song would be in the introduction and he saw the look of delighted surprise on my face and pointed me out. The whole show was great, these guys know their Monkees and if they play in your area, by all means go see them. Their show was the best Monkees concert I've seen outside of a concert by the real Monkees. I compare them favorably with the Fab Faux, who do great recreations of the Beatles music, making them the next best thing to seeing the Beatles in concert, and they don't dress up like the Beatles, they just do the music. The Blue Meanies don't do the Monkees exclusively, they do the Beatles and other artists too, but their Monkees show at B.B. King's was really special, and I can't recommend them enough.
