Got this email from VideoRanch: Greetings from Videoranch and the artistic home of Michael Nesmith! Lot's of Nez news! First, we have 2 of the Edsel Records imports available at Videoranch: The Wichita Train Whistle Sings and Timerider Soundtrack From A Radio Engine to a Photon Wing and Infinite Rider on the Big Dogma All of the albums, including Wichita, have been digitally remastered by Nez himself, and he wrote some interesting new liner notes for each of them. Also, Nez has agreed to sing the song "Laugh Kills Lonesome" with the Rebeca Mauleon Quartet at the Monterey Jazz Festival on September 20, 2008. It's only one song! However, serious Nez fans have already been making plans to come see him live. How bad can it be to travel to Monterey, California and enjoy a few days of great music at the historic Monterey Jazz Festival? If you have no plans to attend, Nez and Rebeca's quartet will be playing again the next day in Videoranch3D. So you have the opportunity to see him live without leaving your home. All you have to do is sign up! Lastly, the April 2008 issue of the U.K. magazine Uncut has a great, in depth article on The First National Band, and Nez' contributions to country rock.
